The pace is picking up again. You'll be seeing things come together. Our reunion planners have been very busy in reunion
planning and personal life! Here's what your party planners havebeen up to lately (besides putting together the rocking party on October 7th!)
Our homecoming-queen-in-drag (don't you all remember that dress!?!?), Erin Murphy, is training for an Ironman
triathlon (event to occur just weeks before our reunion - she'll be the one on crutches at the party!) She is currently living in SoCal, by the beach, and getting serious with a Baywatch hunk.
Homecoming Princess and Senior Class President, Katie Fontana, is married! This happened recently, as in last week!
Congratulations Katie!!
Cassady Jeremias, reporter, translater, professional hula-hooper, has just moved up to Portland, OR, to persue home ownership and tasty coffee.
Kim Witten finally graduated from UC Berkeley, with a degree in Linguistics. She is now working a grind in SF, but spending her free time catching waves and swimming in the bay.
So that's our dirt...we want yours! What have you been doing with yourself? Do you have a blog or website that you'd
like to share with us? We want to set up a blogroll on the right side of this blog, showcasing a list of interesting links that all of us Napa Highers can peruse through and amuse ourselves with. As soon as we collect an ample list of (20 or so) links I'll post them up on the right. You can email links to napahighreunion at gmail.com or leave them in comments here.

Well, probably the most formidable dirt.... Hey guess what? I finally came out of the closet! WHO KNEW! Oh wait, apparently everyone but me knew until I was 20! HA! =) I can say, being that I am not the same Erik you all knew, everything has changed! That introvert does not exist! I've moved out of Cali... and apparently the only one who has stayed gone once he left! HA!!! Some came back then left again! Suckers! So, I left SSU in the middle of my junior year, moved to Orlando a year or so after that. Then a few years later ended up in Atlanta! How the hell did I end up in HICKSVILLE USA, and no, that isnt Napa for sure, so lets not even go there!! You havent seen hicksville until you've driven down a country road in Georgia! Hell, I have actually seen a married couple or two that SURELY are related! I am however, back in school, working towards my Masters in Edcuation. Should be done in the next 2 years or so, time and life permitted. My partner, David, and I have been together 2 1/2 years and things there are great! Although Mr. Bush wont say yes, we are as married as we can be fore the time. Thats about the excitment of it for now, hey I'm 28, a bath and a good glass of wine is exciting nowadays. Although, a bottle is even better! Anyhow... glad to see you all are out and about and working on the reunion! Im excited at the opportunity to see you all, should I be able to get to Cali in October! =)~ Talk to ya's all soon!

Eric, that's AWESOME dirt!! You sound so happy! Can't wait to meet up with you and David at the reunion!

PS. You're married! Just because a gov't won't recognize a kickoff event doesn't mean the entire thing it symbolizes doesn't exist! It's like saying that peanut butter and jelly aren't united to make a sandwich because the jelly is made from apples instead of grapes. Ok, stupid analogy, but you get my point. I hope. Bottom line = congratulations!
Ok .. here's the scoop on me ... After h.s. I leisurely went through the Associate Degree program at the lovely Harvard on the Highway. I finished in December 99, and stayed in Napa till my little brother graduated in June 2000. While going to school, I met Jason in Oregon while on vacation. In 2000 I moved to Oregon with Jason. I started working full time as a Preschool Teacher in a College Day Care. After 2 years our center shut down and I was layed off. In 2003 I started working at a fitness club for a man whose children I used to take care of when i worked for the Preschool. This is also the year in which Jason and I got married. Then in early 05 I became extrememly ill and spent about 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital, things were pretty bad for most of my hospital stay. But I did make it out and worked hard at getting better. I'm still not 100% but I am definitely a lot better than I was when we moved here. It's been a little over a year and while I am a lot healither I am still on Oxygen and still not cleared to work. So time will tell. This is what prompted our October 05 move to Washington. My husband grew up here so we have his family around for support, makes things nice. I haven't really been down to Napa all that much, both of my parents moved out of town a year after I did. So making it to Napa when I am in California is not an easy task. I did however get to visit friends there earlier this month and I was so happy to be there. I can't believe how much has changed!! Anyway that's what is going on in my life.
Hey All!
It's so crazy to remember who everyone is. Let's see, after NHS I did my time at the JC and then moved north to Humboldt, and no it was not for the weed, though as an RA I got to deal with it plenty (mostly recomended that they go to the woods to get lit) Anyway, was persuing English as a major and realized that I hated it, so leaned into Theatre/Dance where I met my husband, Joe (he was my TA, hee, hee). Once he graduated w/ a MFA and I had no further aspirations, he got a job in New Jersey. We spent 3 years there (I don't recommend it) and decided it was time to get out. However, while there I did get a massage therapist license, but haven't worked at it since. We were heading to Massachusetts to be near his family when we realized we couldn't aford it. His best friend lives in Maine and when we went to visit we fell in love with the place. We bought a house with no jobs and headed up, luck was with us (in Joe's case) and he found a job at the one theatre in Bnagor. It took me about four months to find a teller job working for the Bank of America MAN. It sucks. But I also work in a little cafe in a little town where we just bought an old victorian farm house that needs lots of work, but should be fun. Have I talked your ears off yet?
Sending lots fo love and happiness from across the nation,
Elena
Hey y'all!!
Okay so I , Jennifer Martin, back then, have come a long way. I started out pregnant our senior year and gave birth to a son a few months before graduating. Anyways, i pushed myself through the Napa JC and got a nursing license. I then got married to a military guy, headed to Texas, lived there for a few years, and then traveled back here to California. I now have two kids minus the military guy and a partridge in a pear tree..lol.
Anyways it is nice to hear from you all and can't wait to see ya there!!
